15. This is their chance to kill medicare...

I have VA and Medicare, so Obamacare has nothing to do with me. How the VA works is simply that my VA expenses are picked up by medicare to the extent covered. What's not covered under Medicare is still covered by the VA. I still can, and do, go to non-VA providers under Medicare.

The VA covers drugs, though. But, they have to be prescribed by VA doctors and distributed by VA pharmacies. And there is a small copay. Most of my meds are generic, but insulin is the big ticket item and covered by VA. A small problem is that if I want to buy metformin locally at even less than the VA copay, I have to get a prescription from a non-VA doctor. PITA, but it works out OK.

Now, the geniuses running the Republicans these days are looking to upset the whole mess. If anyone wanted to really straighten things out, it could be done over years, but these guys are chomping at the bit for an excuse to dump Medicare and Medicaid. I don't think they really understand the VA system, but kneejerk at cheering anything military related.

So, I fear they will try to kill both, with disastrous results.

Wait until they find out about the Indian Health Service and the US Public Health Service.
