This is classic rich people style. Speaking as someone who worked in a grooming salon in a rich St. Louis county neighborhood and worked as a professional house cleaner in and around rich neighborhoods.
They always want the best but to pay the least. They want you to feel like just busting your ass for them should be payment enough.
