117. Oh, I expected some "I am so, so deeplyl offended!"

Of course. I realize many people are still angry and bitter about some of the back and forth personal attacks from the primaries. Feelings are so raw that nobody can say anything without stirring up accusations of diviseness, attacks, trolling, insults, etc. I could have said, "With only the deepest respect, please allow me to attempt to suggest that perhaps, just maybe, you might be just a smidgeon..." And that would elicit the same responses.

Why? Because we have conditioned ourselves to go into attack more at the drop of a hat. Or the omission of a name, in this case. This is very self-indulgent, and I have to be careful not to call people names when they get all hyperbolic, and I certainly do not hurl insults, exvept, of course, that everything seems to be an insult now.

Anyway, the marches all went off very well and there wasn't any apparent spillover from these back and forth skirmishes we have on DU. I guess these huge offenses on DU don't amount to much outside these walls. Imagine that!
