I get what they are trying to say (i.e., coverage delays death and suffering), but the rate of death stays the same in the long run, doesn't it?

Coverage does not delay death it extends a life. We all have a right to live. A person with cancer, say a treatable cancer should be able to seek the help they need? They should not be told to go away and die, painfully without any medical assistance? If people can not receive preventative care ie blood pressure meds, mammograms, all cancer screenings you sentence them to death with out an attempt to help them. Break a bone, suffer. Get pneumonia, man up. Child shoots a 105 degree temp, so they die because they have no place to go without insurance.

When they take away their healthcare where do you think they are going to go. They will go to an ER seeking help. Some hospitals will not treat you without insurance. Some will. How do you think they will be paying for those treated. Yes, the tax payers because the fully covered politicians took it away from 30M people.

Bodies are going to be stacking up at an alarming rate.
