25. I get so angry!

The Republicans are more than dishonest cheaters. That is not a serious enough charge. I believe that as a party they are stealing our democracy and we as Democrats are always being shushed and told to calm down. In South Dakota they have declared a state of emergency in order to ignore ethics rules the voters put in place. In North Carolina they are attempting to kneecap the Democratic governor by diminishing the power of the executive branch in the state. Gerrymandering has been treated as though it's something that we must put up with, that we've always lived with. Why hasn't the ACLU gone after Michigan for allowing the governor to place his cronies in "failing" cities and usurping the positions of fairly elected locals? The 2000 Presidential election was stolen by the Supreme Court. Why won't we rise up?

I ask the question knowing the answer. It's money. And the Democrats are beholden to the billionaires, too. I believe campaign financing is at the root of our loss of democracy.
