In reply to the discussion: Trump fans are furious after Jake Tapper posted a Bible verse about lying being a sin [View all]kytngirl
(99 posts)41. All Tapper did was post a Bible verse...
...and Trumpers go crazy. Not only did Tapper not mention anyone's name, he also didn't even refer to anybody, yet the Trumpers try to call him out on it. Know why? Because it goes without saying that today if anyone is talking about lying, they're talking about this new administration. Evangelicals have embraced Trump, the biggest fraud, liar, godless, cruel, vindictive, egotistical, sorry-ass man to ever grace the White House. How can you preach to people to try to live a Christ-like life and then support someone who is the exact opposite of Christ? I can't wrap my head around it.

Best to remember the admonition: Don't argue religion or politics. At least, in a family.

Can we give Trump and his followers some small island to run and then we get America back?

Like today's evangelical supporters, Trump is a Political Christian, not a Christian of faith.
