When smugglers were crossing their lands in the early 70's, they asked and received permission from congress and the customs people to form a LEO unit known as "The Shadow Wolves". One of the requirements was that all members be at least 25% Native American.

After enduring the bullshit from the Mexican's, and Anglos, they are quite set against people's they see as outsiders. I don't think much has changed.
