Some of his outrageous comments during the campaign seemed timed, whether it was to propel him back into the spotlight or to distract from other news. He also managed to wear down many of his Republican opponents with the constant attacks. Many were hoping Trump to act more presidential once he was sworn in, but I suppose he is not going to change something that has been working for him thus far.
