If someone were to hack off both of Chuck Todd's hands so he couldn't write, cut out his tongue so he couldn't speak, chop off his feet so he couldn't walk, and then make him wear eye patches so couldn't see, I guess it could be said that someone was being "soft" on Chuck Todd in retribution for the slanted poor excuse for journalism he has been practicing.
