(21,946 posts)8. I've always enjoyed her presentation of the news
and stories. The back-story helps understand the present story so much better.
One reason I always enjoy reading Leon Uris and James Michener.
The give the back-story to the people in the novels.
Without that, the present isn't as understandable as it is with the history involved.
Watergate is a good example. Without the history, the personalities, the break-in, etc. the seriousness of what went down is to some degree lost.
I hope she continues to flesh out the story she's covering.

I love Rachel! She gives historic context. If you don't like it, then don't watch her.
