(31,261 posts)About the plight of the poor and middle class in the last decade, he thinks they are being crushed. He and his wife (she since passed away) donated $25 million dollars in around 2010 for training of Doctors that would agree to serve underserved communities during their residencies and first years of practice, some of the money was also to be used to set up office space and medical equipment for said Doctors.
On Kraft's affinity to Trump. Kraft recently pointed out that Trump was one of only five people that kept in touch with him during the difficult year after his wife passed, one of the other people was John Kerry, a good Kraft friend who is often sitting with the Krafts in the owner's box.
On economic support for Trump. Kraft supports Trump's alleged goal to bring economic revitalization to inner cities and economic depressed parts of America, which I think is a nobel goal, although I think Trump is conning people, even Kraft. Kraft has done a lot to help revitalize southern New England around Foxborough, using his own money to set up shopping, entertainment and light industry complexes. Personally, I wish Kraft would work with people like the owner of Quicken Loans to revitalize inner cities, but beyond his large medicine donation and his activity in southern New England, he seems to not have figured out that he could work with other well meaning rich people to accomplish his social goals and not rely on a person like Trump.
Kraft contributed a large amount of money to Obama 2008. I don't know about 2012, since Massachusetts Statie Mitt Romney was running against Obama.
