(5,626 posts)I have observed many times some statement or issue presented on CNN coming up later in the discussions/perceptions of an issue or candidate. They broke news stories throughout the campaign last year. Sure -- cable news doesn't have the impact it did ten (much less twenty) years ago. Of course I spend the majority of my time online like every Gen Xer and Millenial. But it is still important -- as is Fox and also MSNBC even though the former is vile and the latter has lower ratings.
Jake Tapper is on, and he is much more reasonable (right now at least) than Wolf. Now Wolf is back on again, and he asking about the "cloak and dagger" details of how Gorsuch was brought in without the big secret coming out.
CNN is not what it was (obviously NONE of the cable news channels have significant Gen X or Millenial viewership, not CNN, not Fox, not MSNBC, and of course the big "cbs news hour" sorts of shows have been in serious decline for years) but I am still interested in how they present material. These stories, and their manner of presentation, show up on Twitter and FB and Reddit.
