but a preemptive war with Iran, especially with nukes involves, would, IMO, require the people to overthrow Trump and Congress.

Obama did a great job getting them to disarm and as far as i know there is no indication iran is renegging on their end of the bargain.

of course obama was called weak for doing that, but rethugs thing anything that doesn't involve carpet bombing is "weak".
