The 'tanner' part is what first caught my eye, re the ancient quote's relevance to our current situation. By the 14th word of the quote it looked like an almost perfect match.

I remember the failure of the '1000 year reich' prediction, and pig Rove's 'permanent repug majority' idea. And this current bumbling nazi is coming apart at the seams, flying apart as he whirls around, like a tasmanian devil, enacting his agenda.

None of these nazis inhabit reality, so they run into brick walls eventually. The relatively short half life of evil is being displayed. He carries the entire world inside his head, but it's a cartoon alt-reality version of the world, where li'l donnie is the center of the universe and most important thing ever.
