They don't do nuance very well. Kellyanne could have deflated the uproar over her BG comment by simply apologizing for mis-speaking. As in, "Gee I'm sorry. Please accept my apologies for mis-speaking about an attack at BG University. I got it all wrong. I'm sorry and promise to do a better job of being sure of my info in the future."

Now how hard was that? Apparently harder than climbing Mt Everest. RWers don't do confession, remorse, embarrassment, shame, apologies so well.

Rachel Maddow apologizes all the time, on air, whenever she learns that she has mis-spoken. So do a lot of other real journalists.
