10. Their suffering was solely due to the fact that a Republican did not occupy the White House

Here at DU, we ascribe a myriad of motives, most if not all of which are true, as to what would prompt a Republican to vote Republican.

However, it's all quite simple. They simply cannot stand being on the outside looking in.

It doesn't matter which Democrat is in the Oval Office. It doesn't matter if it's a she, a he, a caucasian, an African American. Not one whit. It doesn't matter if the Democratic President is effective or ineffective.

It only matters that it isn't one of them.

To these folks, politics is a game, and they only play to win, even if that means that the USA loses.

You needn't examine their collective psyche to figure this out.
