I used to live there and a few years ago when I retired I thought very seriously about moving back. However, it seemed to me like NC was going back to some dark days of rampant racism and hate for "others" and voting red and I just couldn't see myself tolerating that on a daily basis in my senior years. I still miss a lot about the state, and seeing this turnout is so uplifting. I realize it's Raleigh, but as someone else in this thread said, they came from all over NC!
We must all persist and resist and always keep in mind that the majority is not like Trump and his awful cabinet people.
