The rift between my mother and I over SCROTUS got wider because of this. She refuses to accept that her candidate and his people have an ableist point of view.

(I had a stroke as an infant and this resulted in "developmental delay," as well as third nerve palsy. Playing sports as a child was frequently very embarrassing, since I couldn't catch or throw worth a darn. I've grown out of some of that, and at 46, my visual and motor-reflex issues are minor. I've occasionally encountered people who think that the appearance of my eyes is an indication that I'm high, but most people ignore it or just don't see it.)
