Pulling someone else towards you is definitely an attempt at dominance. Some men do something a little more subtle; in the middle of a handshake, they turn their hand over on the top. I've shaken hands with a couple of men who tried this on me. I locked my wrist and smiled as they attempted (futilely) to turn their hand over. Nope. You don't get dominance. I'm really happy with Trudeau for stumping Trump on the handshake.
