I wouldn't be surprised if Bannon is planning it right this minute. Call me a conspiracy freak, but I wouldn't put ANYTHING past Bannon and his bunch, considering how many tentacles he has, snaking around all over DeplorableWorld. I seriously think he'd stop at NOTHING. Now that they've seized power, by any means necessary (in this case, Russian intervention), they're gonna want to USE it, an of course, hang onto it.

I bet they recognize that in order to turn the page, "bigly," and create the conditions that force all those marchers to sit down and shut up and stop making trouble, and give the press some big round-the-clock distraction to run off and obsess over, and all the short-attention-span fans to forget ANY mixed feelings they might be starting to have, and make everybody feel compelled to come together to stand by their President. A la Reichstag fire, which helped some ruthless freakazoid with a funny mustache take over Germany completely. OR a la 9/11 - which sure turned things around, rather decisively, for bush/cheney and silenced the opposition that was still smarting from Selection 2000. Flipped the whole calculus in a couple of hours.
