Has anyone dealt with Credo Mobile, the self proclaimed progessive phone company? [View all]

In an e-mail entitled "An e-mail Verizon doesn't want you to open":

PLANS THAT FIT YOUR NEEDS AND A COMPANY THAT SHARES YOUR VALUES

Self-proclaimed “crazy Tea Party freshman” Rep. Joe Walsh said he came to Washington “ready to go to war” and defended the infamous Congressional hearing on birth control regulations that had only male witnesses by saying, “This is not about women.” He also earned the dubious honor of a 100% lifetime rating from the Koch brothers’ Americans for Prosperity. So why did Verizon Wireless contribute money to him?

And why did they contribute to Rep. Steve King, a founding member of the Tea Party Caucus who called shamed Sen. Joe McCarthy “a great American hero” and said he’d support a modern version of McCarthy’s House Un-American Activities Committee?

Sadly, these aren’t isolated examples of questionable contributions. Verizon has given $130,600 to members of the House and Senate Tea Party Caucuses since 2009, while AT&T contributed a whopping $849,000.

At CREDO Mobile, we don't fund Tea Party politicians — we fight them. In fact, we’ve set up the CREDO SuperPAC to defeat ten of the most extreme Tea Party-affiliated House members this November through good old-fashioned grassroots organizing.

We are — and always have been — about phone-powered progressive change. We've raised more than $70 million for progressive nonprofits. And we fight the right wing with an activist network nearly 3 million strong.

End e-mail---------
It seems like a good deal and a good company, or at least better than Verizon. I'm ashamed to say that I use Verizon.
I haven't had a new phone in many years. I'm amazed the one I have still works.
