83. Because he's an arrogant asshole who is elevating and legitimizing HATE SPEECH...

... and because he blames his audience when his jokes fail. At least Johnny Carson had the decency to accept blame and do a little soft-shoe dance when his jokes bombed. Maher is just a sanctimonious prick.

It's not that Maher has RW guests. Nobody's faulting him for that ... come-on now, try to avoid strawman arguments. This isn't about anyone's desire to make an "echo-chamber" or a "bubble" to escape to. Seriously... is it really that hard for you to understand what people find offensive? Or are you just being contrary for its own sake?

Besides, it's boring already. Tired, worn out and a predictable formula. The new set ain't gonna help. I get the feeling it's in trouble and he's trying to create controversy to "invigorate" and generate interest.

Without a Trump presidency, I'm convinced his show would have been cancelled this first half-season. He may be able to get another two half-seasons out of it, but I'll be surprised if he does.

He's HBO's version of Cenk Uygur or Ed Schultz ... overrated and ready to put out to pasture.
