Bring out things you have in common.

Start controversial topics by saying you know they're too smart to fall for this...

Blame those "other Trump voters" that only voted for him because of hate, not the poor gullible Trump voters that voted for him because they thought he wanted to do what was best for the little guys only to find out he was all about his rich friends sticking it to the little guys.

Give them a way out. We want to bring them over to our side, not push them away. Don't accept Trump praise, but also don't burn bridges
