the ones who see what's going on. I'm proud to count myself among them, and the people on DU and others.

I don't think this is an exaggeration. I've seen the similarities for some time.

So this may be how it started in Germany. How easy it is to get people worked up to do God knows what, out of fear and hatred and love for an authoritarian figure.
