(2,433 posts)in a bipartisan manner, I have to say you're wrong in your assessment of Mr. Christie. The only thing he did in the aftermath of Sandy was to do his job-nothing more. The disaster relief funds were coming to the state whether or not he met with President Obama. He was the governor at the time, he (we) needed the assistance of the federal government and it was the duty of the governor to ask for that help. Don't make him out to be some kind of hero for doing the basics of his job. What he did after the federal money arrived is more of a crime than almost anything else he did. His mishandling of Sandy recovery is a disaster that will be paid for by future generations. I could put an entire essay here detailing his mismanagement, both purposeful and negligent, that should call shame down upon him for eternity. He wasted billions of dollars and the opportunity of a lifetime to make our state less vulnerable to future storm damage and the ravages of climate change.
Check out his record: Christie Crime Digest Volume 1, Volume II, Volume III and Volume IV, and trust me, he is not a nice person and has been a terrible governor.
