In reply to the discussion: Sanders to Perez: 'The same-old, same-old is not working' [View all]Gothmog
(179,756 posts)Each candidate had the right to vet their delegates and all of the Clinton delegates were carefully vetted. I know this because I helped vet my state's Clinton's delegates. Sanders did not vet his delegates at all except to remove one duly elected delegate at the Texas state convention because that delegate would not say that he hated Hillary Clinton. There were some Sanders delegates in my state's delegation who had some real issues. We moved some female delegates away from one delegate because he came to hitting one of the female delegates on the third night. At the last night of the convention, this delegate was so upset that he was vibrating and ripped his shirt into pieces in an attempt to get attention. The Sanders delegate chair would not remove or revoke this delegate's credentials because sanders would not respond to his request.
A number of the younger Sanders delegates marched in together with locked arms to demand that the Clinton delegates condemn Clinton and vote for Sanders. That did not go over well. I guess by your standards we were mean for not respecting the feelings of the sanders delegates who thought that if they held their breath they could change the outcome.
Your claim about Clinton delegates is truly wrong and offensive. I was there. You were not.
