Models wear pink protest hats at Milan Fashion Week show [View all]

Dozens of models for Italian fashion brand Missoni walked the runway in the iconic pink knit hats worn as a protest symbol by womens rights activists during the Women's March on Washington last month.
During the finale of her Milan Fashion Week show on Saturday, designer Angela Missoni had 40 models don the pink hand-knitted hats.
The two pointed cat ears on the hat give the beanies their pussyhat name, made famous during womens marches around the country in January in reaction to President Trump's inauguration.
"I feel the need to recognize that in a time of uncertainty there is a bond between us that can keep us strong and safe the bond that unites those that respect all human rights," Missoni said at the end of her show. "Please join me and my family on this catwalk and lets show the world that the fashion community is united and fearless."
