Back in the eighties, while democrats were running as fast as they could from the word liberal, the right was funding think tanks to get the messaging down & buying all the radio stations to get the message out. There are huge swaths of America where hate radio is all there is to listen to. The dems continue to ignore this issue.

My husband saw a few minutes of a Limbaugh rant & asked why they hate liberals so much. I told him it was code for blacks, Hispanics, gays & women. It's not politically correct to say you hate those groups, but it's okay to say you hate liberals. Or anyone who sympathizes with them.
