(37,648 posts)Not a claim of definite hacking. But a discussion of the POSSIBILITY of interference. It's just common sense. Not being a bad loser.
It doesn't take an Einstein to figure out that something was amiss. We now know that Russia did the hacking of the DNC and did try to influence the election.
You can't figure out what happened, if you don't have the discussion in the first place. That is very different from claiming that Russia did in fact hack voting machines....which I didn't see or hear anyone say. But the POSSIBILITY of it should be considered....and is being considered by the govt.
A warning went out to some voting districts, asking them to take extra care during the election. Because of the possibility of hacking. Not that it did happen.
There should be freedom to have an open discussion of...what are the odds that 13 polls are wrong, and a lot wrong, for the very first time in history since polls have been done? At a time when Russia is suspected of trying to influence the election and it's known he wants Trump in? When we know that Putin has done that in two other countries? That does not mean he did it here. But not to have those questions asked is not the right approach, in my view. That's hiding one's head in the sand.
Believe me, the govt is investigating the possibility. POSSIBILITY.
