In reply to the discussion: Student loan debt relief, we aren't talking about it anymore. [View all]butdiduvote
(284 posts)9. Yep. Student debt. Gun control reform. Advancing women's rights. Improving police/minority relations
All put on the back burner thanks to the idiots who couldn't vote for Hillary/downticket Dems because they "just didn't like her," she "didn't earn their vote," etc. The same people will be asking in a few years where their revolution is and why the Dems are doing nothing to advance it.
...because you fucking idiots removed their power to advance the issues you care about. Some revolutionary you are.
It makes my heart sick. I was so looking forward to living in Hillary's kind-hearted world. My anxiety can't take this. It's like I have to find a way to delude myself into thinking the world is different for the next four years to avoid getting physically sick over and over.

We do not need to "talk" about it. We need our Dems in the House and Senate to "do" something

"those who didn't support them during the election" helped spawn this atrocity we're living in.

Expecting those who are in the minority with the worst numbers ever to 'fix' what happened

They don't have the numbers, so you can forget about that until the midterms.

No, I said UNTIL the midterms i.e. they can't effect change at least until they re-take the Senate

Definitely. No harm to put that pressure on the likes of Toomey and Collins.

I'm sure a bunch of students saddled by debt voted for Trump, didn't vote, or went third party.

And if they do all that...it is still unlikely student debt will be fixed...

We need a Plan and a Demand. Many people will back. Trump will fall, we need to be ready.

How many for whom this was the #1 issue didn't vote for Hillary because they'd wanted Bernie?
