It's common for politicians to give answers that have little or no relation to questions - deliver those talking points, no matter what!

What baffled me about this exchange was that Sessions wasn't asked if he had contact with the Russian government; he then proceeds to not only make it clear that he should be considered a Trump campaign surrogate, he goes on to perjure himself regarding communications!

What I'm expecting next from the republicans is an explanation that it's not actually perjury because he wasn't actually asked directly about his own communications.......
