They want to stoke the flames of hatred to much that when ideological zealots lash out at them or us, they can sit back and say "See, we told you..". We are in a frightening place right now. The best we can hope for is to reach out to our neighbors and say "Hey, I care about you...we might share the same religious beliefs, but you are my neighbor and I will support and care for you". Ending the hate begins in our own communities.
