In today's WTF moment, Lindsey Graham makes the best case yet for a full independent investigation. [View all]

IMHO

Listening to LG do his intro at a town hall today he said (and I paraphrase)...

This morning the President sent out a few tweets and I'll summarize...he's saying the former president bugged his campaign. Now, if that's true there are one of two possibilities. First - the former president illegally bugged the current president's campaign. Two - the former president legally bugged the current president's campaign. Either choice makes me very very worried and we need to get to the bottom of this.

Put aside for a moment that presidents don't make the decisions around intelligence gathering, his point defines the box trump has created for republicans in power and it creates the logic trap demanding an independent commission.

If the previous democratic administration did it illegally, then democrats can't be objective. If the previous democratic administration did it legally, then the republicans can't be objective. Assume for a moment we don't know which of these options is true (and believe me, I know...lol), either way, the only solution is independent commission.
