No wire tap. No problem. You can't prove the Russian connection (at least that will be what Trumpeters believe)

Wire tap. Rot roh, you wire tapped an opponent. Show us what you found. (Trumpeters will demand declassification and when it is not forth coming scream cover up.)

In either case this has effectively put the Obama team on defense against accusations.. Watch the Sunday shows for a "What did Obama know,when did he know it" moment. It is easy to set a perjury trap, you walk the victim out on the tightrope then shake it a bit. The clench level at the FBI must be at an all time high now. People will be on eggshells looking for weak links. Not going to be a fun time.
