23. I think the Constitution is being tested, for sure.

So far, though, it's holding its ground pretty well. Trump got thwarted by a federal court on his first immigrant ban. We'll see whether his new version passes muster. I'm not smart enough in a legal sense to predict that.

As for his using of nuclear weapons, I doubt very, very much that he would attempt that. If he did try, I feel quite certain it would lead to his impeachment and removal by even a Republican Congress. I don't think he'll do that, though.

Are we close to a constitutional crisis? Closer than usual, I think. But our constitution is always being challenged. So far, the courts have kept government fairly well in check, though, although they slip up, too. The Japanese internment during WWII is a very good example of how even the SCOTUS can ignore the Constitution in some cases.

What I believe is the most likely thing is that Trump will be rebuffed in enough ways that he will resign. He's a fragile little man who can't stand being thwarted. At some point, he's going to say goodbye, one way or another.

We will have an opportunity in 2018 to remove Republican control from Congress. I suggest we work very hard to do exactly that. If we do not, then we will not have another chance for a very long time, perhaps.
