to vote. Not many passports in people's hands in some parts of the country. A lot of middle-class Republicans wouldn't even think about venturing into another country. Scares them to death.

On the other hand, my wife and I are going to renew our now-expired passports shortly. Minnesota's legislature is being a dick about making our driver's licences Real ID compatible, and starting in 2018, we may need passports to fly.
