I got into a huge argument with my brother-in-law, who is works in the oil and gas field. He is pretty high up in the industry and makes a lot of money. Social Darwinism is what he believes. If you work hard enough only good things happen. If bad things happen, it is your fault because you didn't work hard enough or weren't smart enough.

When it came to political debate, he wasn't smart enough, but that's another story. We haven't spoken much since then when it comes to family events.
