34. It's fun to look back a little in time.

I think it provides some perspective on the current state of technology. Since I started writing for computer magazines in the 80s, I got to see just about everything as it emerged. In many ways, it was a lot more fun back then, since advances came so quickly and made so much of a difference. The mid to late 80s were pretty amazing if you think about it. We went from almost nothing to some pretty major advances in a short time.

I'm glad I got to be a part of describing that technology and helping people make the best use of it.
