10. How the hell did this happen?

6 months ago all we heard was that Trump's brand was going down the toilet. People living on Trump properties wanted his name the hell off them and it was actually being removed on some with the new projects to proceed under another name, Scion. Yup, Ivanka was finished too, nobody wanted her cheap Chinese made garbage. I read it in the papers and right here.

6 months ago all we heard was "Oh, Hills has this in the bag". The "reputable" polls all had her winning. The big question was just how many Senate seats we'd regain and lets get excited over the distinct possibility that some gains even look likely in the House. I saw it on teevee.

A year ago it looked like a progressive agenda was just going to keep getting better and better with a soon-to-be-appointed Supreme Court Justice sure to be on our side for decades. The RW legal strategy before the court was dead along with Scalia.

Now I wake up every morning with a sick feeling in my stomach as soon as I turn on the news or come here. And there doesn't seem to be a lot we can do to stop this madness short term. Then, after I slap myself awake with some coffee, I realize we have a lot of work to do and the only thing to do is soldier on, practice Street Epistemology on the brain-washed masses and register new voters.

I'm fairly confident long-term that we'll turn this thing around and that the demographics will eventually kick in and bury those Fascists. I just doubt that at my age I'll be around to see it.
