because the scrutiny is continuing and the fact he was working as a foreign agent without having registered was going to come out in the wash anyhow. So he registered belatedly. Does registration work retroactively? If you do something that's illegal unless you're licensed to do it, does that offense magically disappear if you get a license after the fact? Or, maybe he registered so he could go back and work for Turkey (or Russia?) again?

The bigger question, of course, is how the hell does somebody get himself appointed National Security Adviser while working as an unregistered foreign agent?

This administration is turning out to be even more corrupt than we ever imagined. The ghost of Warren Harding is probably chuckling spectrally because his won't be considered the most corrupt presidency any more. Not be a long shot.
