if the Democrats had not over 1000 seats between 2008 and 2016-with big time loses in the "white, blue collar population states or if Democratic purists had not wanted to send a message by voting 3rd party, or if some Sanders backers hadn't voted for Trump, or if we had fought voter suppression with vigor for 8 years, or if we were prepared for the Health Care legislation backlash.........
So in short, the blame the candidate position is an old-fashioned "cop out."
Time to address the real world.
