"Who will rid me of these troublesome Jews/Muslims/Mexicans/African Americans?" he asks his rabid racist base.

And then he sits back with legally clean hands while his minions leap into action.

Sauce for the goose, you sick orange fucker.

Rightwing pundits have been doing the same thing for years, inciting violent action without literally calling for it. Then when someone shoots up a church or tries to break up an imaginary child porn ring at a pizza shop, the pundit can express horror and outrage.

Maddow is deftly using the same strategy, potentially steering others to the right path without actually telling them to go that way.
