You don't need to "throw her under the bus" to just admit that it wasn't some sort of brilliant Machiavellian journalistic Rube Goldberg machine, she's a human being. Her ratings spike got to her head and she prematurely shot her wad. It's not a big deal, but we probably shouldn't encourage her to report and publicize in a similar style in the future.
