16. Look, Cheneybush was a big nowhere, too

They not only got re-elected (with a little help from their friends, but that's how we do it now in the States), but went on to do nothing but bad things until the day they left office.

It doesn't matter how ridiculous or tired their figurehead looks. The danger lies in the evil that will be wrought by their minions and majorities in Congress. If Trump is gone tomorrow, but Pence just loves the direction taken by Trump's appointees to State, EPA, Energy and Education, does anyone really think anything will improve? The only difference between Trump driving us over the cliff and Pence driving us over the cliff is that Pence will actually keep his hands on the wheel.
