Privilege? Ivanka is the Crown Princess, and everyone knows it. Her husband is Prince Consort. Her brothers are off doing something useful, I am sure 
Her stepmother is living elsewhere, tending to her little prince. But the emotional core of the dysfunctional family unit is Father and Daughter.
She just knows how to say all the right soothing things to the increasingly Mad King. So does her husband, according to stories from the campaign trail.
