because you seem to be put out over this thread. Most people simply responded positively about Al, but somehow you found the thread objectionable. If the point were merely to express support for Al Franken as a progressive lion of the Senate, there would be no need to insult those who speak favorably of him as "right wing trolls." To pretend to care about unity while insulting Democrats on this board strains credulity.

There is another site (unified by the goal of keeping the Democratic nominee from becoming president) where people actively defend Trump day in and day out, yet I don't see you criticizing them, despite being an active member there for a year. Instead you are now implying that support for the Democratic Party makes someone a "right-wing Trump troll." It reminds me of a recent article I read where the author insisted that being "progressive" meant defending Trump against allegations of collusion with Russia. They went on to insist that shielding Trump would deal yet another blow to the "establishment," which for them means the Democratic Party but not the GOP. What they call "progressive" is in fact Republican.

The salient point--the ONLY point that matters--is whether someone voted for Hillary and other Democrats in the 2016 general election and whether they will continue to vote for Democrats. Anything else is collaboration with fascism. Anyone who failed to stand up to Trump by not voting for Clinton in the GE chose fascism. What they call themselves is irrelevant. Their actions define them. Being a loyal Democratic voter who respects a Democratic Senator does not make someone a "right wing troll," anymore than continued defense of the fascist in the White House can be anything other than extreme right-wing hate mongering.
