If someone is being abused that has to be stopped. And you can't sing kumbaya with someone holding you hostage. But there are, I know, some people who are hurt and angry but willing to at least have a conversation. I expect we'd have to endure hearing some strange sounding descriptions of ourselves and so would they. But it is the only way to stop all of us just running to our familiar corners and throwing stones.
