(10,103 posts)I've been hibernating in the Eaton's Centre, where there is a/c. Ate there, shopped there, sat there, and am now home. I will be turning on the a/c shortly, have the fan on. Bought heavy-duty curtains for the 8' x 15' windows at my back (which face almost directly west, which is a drag.) And, by the way, I HATE the heat. I have a niece who swears that my side of the family must be related to polar bears...since I spend more trying to survive the four summer months than I do for everything else the rest of the year!
I drink lots, bike before sunup or after sundown, spend as much time under the a/c or on the roof as possible, and try not to snap. I hurt like hell in the heat, for one thing, and I hate feeling as though I'm breathing under a wet blanket! I eat most things uncooked, try to microwave everything else, and stop making bread for four months. I wear ugly but comfortable baggy tie die dresses in the house and baggy white shirts and shorts outside.
