51. Sessions is not completely stupid

He's been in congress a long time and was a US Attorney for the Southern district. So he knows which way the wind blows. Recusing himself is the very best way to minimize getting slopped with the fallout. Before he recused himself, he was probably briefed by Comey about what intelligence the FBI already had on the gang that couldn't shoot straight. Now if Sessions were really smart, and I'm not saying that he is, he would appoint a neutral special prosecutor. That might enable him to survive the Trump debacle and remain as Pence's AG. Assuming that Pence doesn't go down too, which is not at all certain.
