(35,437 posts)11. So far we've evacuated twice for hurricanes
since we moved to Texas. The stories I hear are miserable. It makes me grateful that all I had to do was replace the food in my fridge/freezer when we got back last time after a week away. And we were lucky - we waited until we saw on the Yahoo homeowner's board that our neighborhood had gotten power. Of course we still had to deal with the empty stores/gas stations.
